New Leaf brings together partners as well as employers from across Warrington and Cheshire to change lives, create opportunities and make a positive contribution to local communities and the regional economy.
New Leaf programme will be looking to support over 2,800 people from across Cheshire, enabling them to move closer to employment over three year until September 2019.
The project has been allocated £10.6 million of funding through the Building Better Opportunities programme and is funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery, through the Big Lottery Fund, which provides investment in local projects that increase economic development by investing in projects which will support skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion and local community regeneration.
ACORN Recovery Projects is one of the many partners involvement in the New Leaf project, and we support people from across the region.
The New Leaf Project is funded by the Big Lottery Fun and European Social Fund.
ACORN and New Leaf working in partnership
ACORN has been successful in winning a bid within the New Leaf Partnership to support disadvantaged 16-24 year olds within Warrington, East Cheshire, West Cheshire and Chester.
The project aims to motivate, inspire, energise, excite, engage and increase young people’s self belief so they can realise their potential and discover and achieve their dreams, hopes and aspirations, including work, education and further training.
The young people will be supported by three new Impact Coaches with input from Acorn Academy, a Personal Trainer and specialist counselling support. ACORN is extremely excited about this new opportunity to help make a real difference to these young people’s lives and their futures.
