As we near the end of National Volunteers’ Week, we still have a few stories left to share. Rob has been in touch to tell us about his experiences volunteering with Acorn Recovery Projects.
Hi, my name is Rob.
I’ve been volunteering and co-facilitating RAMP for 12 months now. In that time, it has given me great confidence and made it a lot easier getting up in front of groups of people and talking.
I really enjoy helping other people and sharing my experiences. But ultimately, being part of people’s journey to recovery is amazing. My experiences of volunteering has given me skills that will hopefully help me as I move towards paid employment in the future!
Check back tomorrow for another insight from one of our volunteers!
