Leading independent provider of drug and alcohol treatment services, Delphi Medical, has officially become part of The Calico Group. Delphi will be working closely with Calico’s ACORN Recovery Projects, a registered charity providing a range of innovative addiction recovery programmes across the North West.
Delphi Medical specialises in the clinical and psychosocial treatment of substance misuse, and delivers flexible and innovative solutions in the community and in the custodial setting. This compliments ACORN’s approach, ranging from detox services, therapeutic and clinical interventions as well as supported housing.
It will also allow for the development of a stronger and wider scope to deliver health, care and wellbeing contracts as part of The Calico Group.
ACORN’s relationship with Delphi has spanned more than five years, and both companies share similar approaches to helping clients recover from their addiction.
This new partnership means that a full range of substance misuse services can be offered including inpatient and community detox services, educational and motivational programmes, community and residential addiction therapy, employment and volunteering support and a variety of supported housing opportunities.
Sarah Hanson, Managing Director of ACORN Recovery Projects, said:
“We are very pleased that Delphi has joined The Calico Group and will be able to work closely with ACORN,– this is a fantastic development for both companies.
“We are very proud that, together, we are now able to offer an unparalleled range of recovery services alongside the best in medical treatment and wellbeing initiatives.”
Dr John Richmond of Delphi Medical, said:
“Delphi is delighted to be joining The Calico Group. We’ve been working together for many years now, and have seen the benefits we can bring to the whole treatment system when we work together.
“I believe it adds clarity and strength to our offer. We can now provide high quality clinical treatment, effective psychosocial programmes, a range of sustainable and flexible housing options, and tailored support for our customers to learn new skills and gain employment.
“We know from talking to our patients that this is what they want, and we’re looking forward to being able to respond to this by delivering new holistic pathways to recovery.”
Both ACORN and Delphi are committed to recovery, helping to find not just immediate abstinence, but emotional, social, lifelong recovery; delivering people from dependence to freedom creating a life worth living.
